Yarrabilba is a satellite city being developed jointly by the Queensland Government and Stockland, one of Australia's leading regional developers, over a 30-year timeframe. Residential development is progressing to meet the demands of a rapidly growing population. A range of dwelling types is planned, including detached houses, townhouses and apartments, to broaden the choice of homes.

Feature 2: Infrastructure
Infrastructure will be strengthened in the future, including a major shopping centre, roads, public transport, cycleways and walking paths, to improve residents' transport convenience and quality of life.

Feature 3: Commercial and Service Facilities
There is already a large COLES supermarket, a variety of restaurants, clinics, a rehabilitation centre, a community centre, a gym and more. In future, commercial centres, office space, dining and retail facilities are planned to meet the everyday living and shopping needs of a larger population.

The number of schools and childcare centres will increase, along with health service facilities, ensuring residents have convenient access to education and medical care.

Feature 5: Green Space and Recreational Facilities
Parks, sports venues, community gardens and other recreational facilities will continue to be added in the future, providing residents with places for leisure and recreation.

Yarrabilba is located within a Priority Development Area planned by the Queensland Government and falls under the Logan local government area. It sits approx. 40 km south-east of the Brisbane CBD and approx. 35 km north-west of the Gold Coast CBD.
