Chinese affluent suburb: Rochedale house community

Feature 1: Prime Location
Rochedale in Brisbane is the hottest emerging affluent suburb in Brisbane's south in recent years. Located in the south-east of Brisbane, close to the Pacific Motorway and the Gateway Motorway, it is 15 km from the Brisbane CBD. Adjacent to the south's largest shopping centres, Westfield Garden City and Carindale Westfield, it is one of the closest new affluent suburbs to the Chinese community hub of Sunnybank. Rochedale is the last contiguous parcel of house-development land to Brisbane's south — an extremely scarce resource for both investment and owner-occupation.

Feature 2: Regional Development and Infrastructure
As part of the M1 upgrade from Eight Mile Plains to Daisy Hill, Rochedale will get its own new bus station and a park-and-ride transit centre with capacity for more than 400 cars. The transit centre will connect to Gardner Road in the heart of Rochedale, and pedestrian paths and cycling routes will also be upgraded. The transit centre is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

Brisbane's highly anticipated light rail project, backed by A$944 million in government funding. Metro 1 will become a main line connecting the southern suburbs with the CBD. Along the way it will pass major destinations including Griffith University, Garden City and the University of Queensland. The line will also give passengers the opportunity to transfer to other metro, bus or ferry services in the CBD.

Feature 3: Rich Educational Resources
The area is home to the south's renowned private school Redeemer Lutheran College (score 99) and Rochedale State School (score 98). It is a 10-minute drive from Citipointe Christian College and just 8 km from Griffith University.

Feature 4: Beautiful Neighbourhood Surroundings
The area enjoys an exceptionally high level of greenery, with green spaces and parks everywhere you look. New streets and a variety of beautiful houses make the whole area even more pleasing to the eye.
