Feature 1: A Continuously Developing Area

The Ripley area forms part of the Western Brisbane urban growth corridor project. It is designed to respond to land-release requests from local and state governments, easing overall population growth in existing communities as well as the anticipated and projected population growth driven by interstate and overseas migration.

Ripley will see the construction of new hospitals, communities, schools, parks, public transport facilities and much more. Once the area is fully developed, it is expected to have a population of 120,000, with an estimated 50,000 dwellings. The urban development is expected to provide 200,000 jobs. Ripley and its surrounding areas sit close to the western construction corridor — such as South Ripley, Swanbank, Deebing Heights and White Rock — with land suitable for new residential, commercial and industrial development, all set for rapid growth.

This development is set to become the nation's largest planned community.

The Ripley area is served by two major motorways, the Cunningham Highway and the Centenary Highway, connecting to the Brisbane CBD, the Gold Coast, Toowoomba and the Logan townships — truly accessible in every direction.

Government planning and construction proposals for transport connections include extending the Springfield rail line to Ipswich and building a commuter train station between Ipswich and Springfield, along with several train stations in Ripley, making it a transport hub for both the north–south and east–west lines.
