Australia's Top 10 Most Liveable Suburbs, with Brisbane Named the Best City
According to new data released by realestate.com.au, if you're considering where to live in Australia, you should steer clear of places like Sydney, Tasmania and Canberra.
Researchers took a close look at lifestyle factors in each Australian city — including commute times to the CBD and proximity to beaches, schools and parks — to determine the best places to live, forming a top 50 list of areas.
Not a single suburb from Sydney, Canberra or Tasmania made the top ten. Taking the number one spot was Melbourne's St Kilda, where the median house price has reached as high as A$2,615,000.
Two Brisbane suburbs, South Brisbane and Dutton Park, ranked among the top three, with as many as 7 Brisbane suburbs making the top ten. Among these suburbs, the lowest median house price was just A$731,000.
