Australia's Top 10 Most Liveable Suburbs, with Brisbane Named the Best City

According to new data released by realestate.com.au, if you're considering living in Australia, you should steer clear of places like Sydney, Tasmania and Canberra.

Researchers took a close look at lifestyle factors across each Australian city — including commute times to the CBD, and proximity to beaches, schools and parks — to determine the best places to live, forming the top 50 suburbs.

Not a single suburb from Sydney, Canberra or Tasmania made the top ten. Taking the top spot was Melbourne's St Kilda, where the median house price has already reached A$2,615,000.

Two Brisbane suburbs, South Brisbane and Dutton Park, ranked among the top three, with as many as 7 Brisbane suburbs making the top ten. The lowest median house price among these suburbs was just A$731,000.
